These events have now provided so many memories – perhaps almost as many as an El Adem/Tobruk tour of duty ! Too many to mention but here are a few anyway:- The TEARS Studio recreated at R2 ………. Special guest stars Ann Shelton and Ken Dodd recording their tributes ………. Dubious ‘guest star’ appearances from Peter & Gordon, Windsor Davies & Don Estelle, Jimmy Saville and Laurel & Hardy The M+G at Telford where over 100 turned up – we were only expecting 28 ! …..The walkabout at El Adem in 2005 and the beach hotels at Mersah Matruh and Alexandria on the first N.Trip. Those Northop Hall ‘Meets’ where we once gate-crashed a wedding party the night before and hired the disco for our own party ! …….. Lucy Stewart and Sue and The Boys (The New Premiers) entertaining us at R8 and R9 ….. great !
